It’s no secret, the washing machine is TOUGH on delicate things. If you want your lingerie to stay sturdy, shapely, and un-faded, the best method is (unfortunately) hand washing. But don't worry! The method I have for you today is super easy and super effective.
𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑼𝑪𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺:
Fill a sink or large bowl with warm water
Add 1 TBSP of delicate soap
Let soak for 5 minutes
Gently knead the garment while in the water
Soak for 5 more minutes
Empty the basin and refill with clean water (tip: add a few drops of distilled white vinegar to the rinse water, it helps remove soap residue and acts as a natural fabric softener)
Rise until the soap is gone
Carefully press any excess water from the fabric (don’t wring the material or it will stretch and lose its shape)
Hang to finish drying
Sometimes I’ll fill up my bathtub and wash all my lingerie at once which saves even more time, just be sure that none of the dyes are running if you’re washing them together (your red panties WILL turn your white bra pink).
This method is super easy and doesn’t take long. It works for masks and other delicates, too!
